From February 3-7, 2020, join your local school district in advocacy efforts countywide to:

Educate the public about education funding issues in California.

Share stories about the real life impacts of inadequate funding on students in your schools.

Reach out to your state legislators to advocate for increased funding for California public schools.
Outcomes:

Engage education stakeholders in Contra Costa County in a spirit week fashion to participate in a variety of advocacy activities around school funding, along with Alameda County.

Provide real-world stories regarding the impact of school funding in Contra Costa County for Governor Newsom.

Embolden legislators and invite local elected officials and community leaders to join together in actions for increased funding.
Process:

Ask your School Board pass a resolution in recognition of Fund Education Now Week Feb 3-7, 2020.

Edit the resolution for adoption and promotion by your PTA/PTO, other agencies, service organizations, etc.

Share photos via social media.

Uplift your activities by posting on social media and tagging your school district, union, parent group, and Governor Newsom, Senator Glazer and your Assembly Member.
